Heather E. Ross (AIA), of HER Design Architecture PLLC has over a dozen years of professional experience in architectural design for a variety of commercial, residential, and hospitality projects. A graduate of Auburn University’s Architecture+Interior Architecture Program, she studied under D.K. Ruth, co-founder of the renowned Rural Studio.
Heather spent a decade in New York City corporate architecture firms, working primarily as Associate Principal at Kohn Pederson Fox (KPF). She was a founding member of the design team of midtown-Manhattan’s transformational Hudson Yards, which Fortune Magazine called “the largest real estate project...ever.” After starting a family, Heather opened her own architecture practice, HER Design to focus on smaller scale residential and boutique business projects. In New York she worked on a Tribeca Rowhouse, a Chelsea Penthouse, Upper West Side and East Side luxury apartments and Harlem homes. Since moving to a historic farm in Gettysburg her work has included the upcoming Sign of the Buck Restaurant, the Gettysburg Nature Alliance Learning Barn, the House of Bender building and several home additions and new-builds.
